DMV Entry & Elevator Upgrades Overview: This project addressed cold air infiltration through the front entry resulting from the front sliding doors remaining open during heavy public traffic entering and exiting the building. The first phase of this project installed overhead infrared heaters to provide immediate relief for the ’15-’16 winter months. Phase two involved an A&E assessment of this space and provided a corrective plan to permanently resolve this issue. Phase three included construction. Now completed, the entry foyer of this building is comfortable for the public and staff. This project included upgrades to the control/switchgear of two 50-year-old systems. The aging infrastructure frequently broke down and repair parts were becoming more difficult to source.
