Policies
Completed in 1904, the Rhode Island State House and its primary location and beautiful grounds serve as the principal seat of Rhode Island state government and stands as one of the most distinguished and enduring examples of American Renaissance architecture. Station Park, created from a portion of the original State House grounds, provides a public open space and preserves the view corridor between the State House and downtown Providence. Policies and procedures establish standards governing all activities and uses within the State House, its grounds, and Station Park, while ensuring the protection and preservation of these important public assets.
Please check this page often for new and revised policies designed to improve how we do business. Statewide announcements will be made for new policies or changes to policies, when appropriate.
